100 Worlds Project

One of my favorite things about the work I do is collaborating with other creative minds.  Hearing what other artists, writers, and designers have cooking is always good. To be asked to be involved is great. This was the case with the 100 Worlds Project.

Artist and designer Ron Miriello of Miriello Grafico took on a personal project to design, sculpt or otherwise build 100 globes using everything from paper to iron. The result is fascinating and inspiring. When Ron tapped the local art and photo community to help realize his vision, I jumped on board. I shot world #39 made of board games and playing pieces. The photo was the lead-in for San Diego magazine’s City Files section and will be included in the book of the upcoming exhibition at Jett Gallery opening on Friday, February 18th.

Much of the proceeds for the sale of prints and auction of sculptures will be donated to the show beneficiary, The San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation. For a complete list of the collaborators and a view of the other worlds, take a look at the project site.
